This one came to me when I was walking a trail out by a lake in Colorado. It was a serene moment, no one was around, and there was nothing to make a sound save for the nature around me.

My third album, I took a little more time to polish out. I explored a darker theme, and wasn't afraid to do things I hadn't before. While it's honestly hard for me to look back on my old work with kind eyes, I know there's a lot of people who enjoy it, and that's a huge part of why I make music in the first place.

This album is admittedly a blemish. It as a few tracks that I'm fond of, but in my haste to release more music after my first album, I rushed a lot of the writing and production. It was also the only of my releases to be rejected by Pandora, so... But hey, if you don't learn from your mistakes, you're bound to repeat them.

I wrote and produced this when I was 16. It has a heavy folk-like feel to it, with mixing styles inspired from other artists like Bon Iver.
